# Introduction

> A quick look at tinyrobot and how the pieces fit together.

Source: http://tinyro.bot/docs/introduction

tinyrobot is a small starting point for building something useful. The cloud website brings together public content, community experiments, and an application scaffold. Public pages share navigation, typography, and layout; the self-hosted deployment includes only the application.

## Find your way around

- **Home** introduces the project and points you to the next step.
- **Docs** explain the setup and the conventions behind it.
- **Blog** is a place for project notes and updates.
- **Changelog** records project changes.
- **Community** hosts curated browser experiments, with login still disabled.
- **App** is the shared client-rendered application scaffold.

## The foundation

Both deployments use **Node.js** and **TanStack Start** for server rendering and file-based routing, with **Vite** for development and builds. The shared backend uses **Effect**, **PostgreSQL**, and **Better Auth**. Website hosting migration and live deployment remain deferred; analytics and GitHub integrations are separate Cloudflare Workers, not website hosting.

Shared UI lives in its own workspace. Documentation and blog posts are Markdown files, validated and compiled by **Content Collections** during development and builds. There is no separate content server to run.
